A1 Group Classes

The A1 level is for complete beginners or those with very limited exposure to the language. It focuses on the absolute basics, helping you build a foundation for everyday communication.

A1.1 Absolute Beginners

  • Prerequisite: None

A2 Group Classes

The A2 level is for students who can already handle basic conversations. You will work on expanding your vocabulary and improving your grammar to discuss a wider range of topics.

You can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. You are able to produce simple connected texts on topics that are familiar or of personal interest. This is the highest level offered, and it prepares you for full professional and academic use of the language. How to Find Your Language Level

Choosing the right language course is a great first step toward success. Our courses are structured according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is a global standard for describing language ability. To help you find the perfect fit, please review the following descriptions and choose the one that best matches your current skills.

A1 - Beginner

You're just starting out on your language journey. You have little to no prior experience with the language.

  • A1.1: You know a few basic words and phrases, such as "hello" and "thank you," but you can't form simple sentences yet. You are completely new to the grammar and vocabulary.

  • A1.2: You can use a few common everyday expressions and basic phrases to introduce yourself and ask simple questions about personal details (e.g., where you live, people you know). You need the other person to speak slowly and clearly.

A2 - Elementary

You can handle simple, routine tasks that require a direct exchange of information on familiar topics.

  • A2.1: You can communicate in short, simple exchanges on familiar topics. You can describe your family, your job, and where you live using a series of simple phrases and sentences. You can also understand basic notices and short, simple texts.

  • A2.2: You can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of immediate relevance (e.g., shopping, local geography, employment). You can communicate in simple, routine tasks and write short, simple personal letters.

B1 - Intermediate

You can understand the main points of clear standard speech and texts on familiar topics. You can deal with most situations that might arise while traveling.

  • B1.1: You can handle most situations while traveling. You can enter a conversation on familiar topics and connect phrases to describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions. You can understand texts that use common, everyday language.

  • B1.2: You can give reasons and explanations for your opinions and plans. You can also narrate a story or describe the plot of a book or film. You can understand the main points of many radio or TV programs on current affairs when the delivery is relatively slow and clear.

B2 - Upper-Intermediate

You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, making regular interaction with native speakers possible without strain for either party.

  • B2.1: You can understand the main ideas of complex texts on both concrete and abstract topics. You can present clear, detailed descriptions on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages.

  • B2.2: You can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible. You can take an active part in discussions and present clear, detailed descriptions of complex subjects, developing particular points and rounding off with an appropriate conclusion.
